Chimp and Knuckle stand together atop a building site in the dead of night.

Both are waiting for an opportunity they cannot pass up. Before the morning comes, they must both choose; persevere with each other or go it alone. In this chilling two-hander, a late night argument becomes a microcosm of the perpetual human condition; our struggle to appease our insatiable boredom and our desperate urge to carve out a true identity for ourselves. To excite. To console.

About the Author:

Where Nothing Arrives is Abram Rooney’s first play to be staged since he took over the role of Christopher in Simon Stephens’ multiple award winning adaptation of Mark Haddon’s The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night time (National Theatre and Frantic Assembly until June 2015). Abram also recently appeared in the film Pride (Pathe Productions) alongside Andrew Scott, Bill Nighy and Imelda Staunton. Abram trained as a writer as part of the Soho Theatre’s Young Writers’ Lab, and is thrilled to be making his writing debut at the Camden Fringe.

About the Company:

The Hardy is a producing troupe dedicated to staging fantastic, exhilarating and intelligent new writing, with a particular focus on two-person shows. We hope to make use of our budding, energetic ensemble of actors and directors to continue producing original works in the near future.
